Business Leader hosts scale-up event at Level39 in preparation for Go:tech Awards

Business Leader Magazine, the founders and organisers of the Go:Tech Awards, recently hosted a tech-related event at Level39 – one of the world’s most connected tech communities, based in Canary Wharf.

The event looked at the challenges facing tech companies in the UK and was in preparation for the upcoming Go:tech Awards this November.

The speakers at the event included, Paresh Modi – Group Head of Business Development at Vodafone, Romina Savova – CEO at PensionBee, Oz Alashe MBE – CEO of Cybsafe, James Gibson – Senior Produce Owner at Revolut, Andrew Scott – CEO of The Ascot Group, Suvi Chi – COO at Claimer, and Ann Hiatt – who is a Non-Executive Director at Armadillo.

Amongst the topics discussed at the event were access to finance, diversity and inclusion and finding the talent needed to scale.

Director at Business Leader, Oli Ballard comments: “The event was organised to provide our readers and those that we engage with a full analysis of the challenges facing the tech sector in the UK. We wanted to bring a panel together that covered each stage of the business lifecycle and it was rewarding to receive input from brands like Vodafone, Revolut and PensionBee. The event is timely, considering the Go:Tech Awards are around the corner.”

Business Leader is set to host the annual Go:Tech Awards on November 21st, in Bristol.

The awards have 13 categories, that will highlight the UK’s best within the tech sector, and the night itself will be a celebration of some of the world’s leading tech companies and individuals.

The Go:Tech Awards independent panel of judges will decide the winners of the coveted trophies and include Marta Krupinska (Head of Google for Startups UK), Anthony Rose (the man behind the BBC iPlayer), and Dave Coplin (former Microsoft UK Chief Envisioning Officer).

Showcasing the elite within the UK tech sector, the Go:Tech Awards will celebrate the leaders within across the industry and bring together the most sought after minds, entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors.
