HSBC UK commits to sponsoring UK’s leading tech awards

HSBC UK have confirmed they will be sponsoring the national Go:Tech Awards.

Despite the tough economic conditions and difficulties that have faced the live events sector in 2020, HSBC UK have committed to sponsoring the awards.

Entries recently closed for the Go:Tech Awards, with a record number of companies putting themselves forward from across many different tech verticals.

The Awards receive entries from across the UK and from companies primarily operating in the scale-up and high-growth parts of the tech ecosystem.

Categories include: BioTech, FinTech, AI, VR and many more available for companies to enter.

The bank’s support for the awards is a further endorsement of the role it has in the sector.

Roland Emmans, Head of Tech Sector, HSBC UK, comments: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this year’s GoTech awards. Now more than ever, technology is playing a crucial role in society as we adapt to new ways of living, ways of working and respond to an unprecedented rate of change. It’s only fitting that we recognise the vital contribution of tech businesses across the country. At HSBC UK, we’re proud to work with tech firms at all stages of the business lifecycle, using our experience, expertise and scale to help them access and leverage every opportunity in the international tech market.”

Andrew Scott, who is the founder of the awards, comments: “whilst many other awards and media retracted, we put our foot on the gas and invested heavily in creating an awards programme that showcased the very best UK tech businesses. We’re delighted to be partnering with HSBC on these awards due to their reach and relevance in the sector.”

Judging for this year’s awards is currently underway and Roland has also joined the illustrious Go:Tech judging panel.
